Download 300 dpi botanical illustrations in PDF format to maintain sharp details and accurate tones during home printing.

Choosing the Right Botanical Designs

Select artwork based on project size and viewing distance. For wall decor, use A4 or Letter size layouts with large blossoms such as roses, peonies, or sunflowers. For scrapbooking or card making, choose smaller 3×3 or 4×6 inch compositions with minimal background.

  • Wall art: full page bouquet with soft gradient background
  • Greeting cards: single bloom with white margin space
  • Classroom decor: simple daisy or tulip sets with bold outlines

Check file resolution before printing. Images below 150 dpi may appear blurry, while 300 dpi files preserve petal texture and leaf veins.

Paper Type and Printer Configuration

Use 120 gsm matte paper for standard craft projects. For framed decor, switch to 200–250 gsm cardstock to prevent warping. If using an inkjet printer, select high quality photo mode and disable automatic scaling. Laser printers require standard paper settings to avoid overheating thicker stock.

  1. Print one sample sheet to confirm color balance
  2. Allow ink to dry flat for several minutes
  3. Store unused sheets in a moisture free folder

Finishing Techniques

Choose 300 dpi botanical artwork in PDF format and print at 100 percent scale to preserve petal detail and accurate tones.

Use 200–250 gsm cardstock for framed wall art and 120–160 gsm paper for scrapbooking or greeting cards. Matte stock reduces glare under glass, while satin finish enhances depth in rose, peony, and sunflower illustrations. Always run a single test sheet to check margin alignment and color balance before producing multiple copies.

Trim designs with a precision craft knife and metal ruler to achieve clean edges. Mount each bloom on acid free backing board to prevent yellowing over time. For layered projects, apply thin foam adhesive squares between elements to create subtle dimension without bending the paper surface.

Store finished pieces flat in a dry folder away from direct sunlight to prevent fading. Rotate displayed artwork every three to six months if placed in bright rooms to maintain pigment intensity and paper stability.
